Opis obrazka – matura ustna z angielskiego

Opis obrazka na maturze.

Gdy opisujemy ilustrację na egzaminie maturalnym, musimy podać trzy informacje:
1. Kto jest na obrazku.
2. Co robi.
3. Gdzie się znajduje.

Najprościej ująć te informacje w jednym zdaniu, a następnie przejść do bardziej szczegółowego opisu.

The picture shows a woman reading a magazine in the garden.

(dosł. Obrazek przedstawia kobietę czytającą czasopismo.)

Schemat takiego zdania:

The picture shows + osoba + co robi + miejsce

Jak opisać obrazek na maturze?
1. Zdanie wprowadzające, opisane powyżej. Dzięki niemu masz zaliczone trzy najważniejsze informacje. Teraz można spokojnie przejść do bardziej szczegółowego opisu.

2. Wygląd zewnętrzny i opis ubrania – wzrost, włosy (kolor, długość, kręcone – proste), kolor oczu (jeśli widać), ubiór. Jeśli na obrazku jest kilka osób, nie musisz opisywać każdej po kolei. Albo wybierz sobie jedną osobę – taką, o której możesz powiedzieć jak najwięcej, albo opisz ogólnie. Możesz też opisać wspólne cechy, np. wszyscy mają mundurki lub sportowe ubrania.

3. Opis otoczenia – co znajduje się po bokach obrazka, w tle, na górze lub na dole. Przydatne słówka:

on the left/on the right	po lewej stronie/po prawej stronie
at the top	na górze
at the bottom	na dole
in the left top corner	w lewym górnym rogu
in the right bottom corner	w prawym dolnym rogu
in the background	w tle
in the middle	pośrodku

4. Co robi osoba/osoby na zdjęciu? – Do opisania tego, co ktoś robi na zdjęciu, używamy czasu Present Continuous.

5. Twoje przypuszczenia – tutaj masz pole do popisu – możesz gdybać, kim są osoby na zdjęciu; dlaczego robią to, co robią; czy są zadowolone, a jeśli są (lub nie) – to dlaczego?

Maybe they’ve got lost because…	Może zgubili się, ponieważ…
Perhaps she’s a professional model because…	Być może jest zawodową modelką, ponieważ…
I think he’s satisfied with his job.	Myślę, że jest zadowolony ze swojej pracy.
I guess the child is bored.	Dziecko jest chyba znudzone.

– pomieszczenia w domu, meble i sprzęt domowy
– miejsca w mieście

Co powtórzyć z gramatyki?
– konstrukcję „there is/there are”
– konstrukcję „it is”
– czas Present Continuous
– czas Present Simple
– przyimki miejsca
– liczbę mnogą rzeczowników (zwłaszcza nieregularnych – kobiety, mężczyźni, dzieci)

Przykładowy opis obrazka

The picture shows two boys studying Geography in a classroom. The boy on the left has got brown hair. He’s wearing a red T-shirt. The boy on the right is a blond; he’s wearing a navy-blue T-shirt with a white button. The boys are reading a pretty big book. They’re sitting behind a brown, wooden table. On the left side of the table there’s a blue globe and a box of colourful Plasticine. On the right there are a lot of books. I think the boy on the left seems bored and the boy on the left is quite sad. Maybe they don’t like Geography or they’ve just failed a test so they have to study really hard. On the other hand, the book is very thick so it must be incredibly boring.

The girl sitting next to her has got long brown hair and is wearing a purple blouse and jeans. The boy on the left is wearing sunglasses, a checked shirt and beige shorts, while the other one on the right has got a blue sweater and jeans. They’re sitting on small stone benches around a stone table. On the table there are two laptops, a plastic bottle and a brown, leather bag. In the background I can see some trees, a road and grass so they must be in a park. The boys have got laptops so maybe they’re students working on some kind of project. They seem to have a good time together as they’re smiling.

This picture shows a couple sitting at the table in a restaurant. The man has got curly black hair. He’s wearing a blue shirt, a black jacket and glasses. He’s holding a glass of wine in his right hand. I think he’s a Japanese or a Chinese. The woman sitting next to him has got long, slightly curly brown hair. She’s wearing a blue blouse. She’s smiling and looking at the man. There is a plate with some food on the table. In the background there’s a table and some plastic bottles in a box. On the wall there are some decorations in the form of square wooden shelves. It seems that the couple is having a date. They’re having a great time together. I get the impression that they like each other and they’re enjoying each other’s company because they are smiling.

Opis obrazka – przykład 4

This picture shows a beautiful rural landscape in the Netherlands. On the right there is a large mill and on the left there is a cottage. The cottage has got two front windows, white walls and a red roof. Next to the cottage there are some trees and bushes. In the foreground there is a pond. A road with a small wooden fence runs towards the mill. Some animals are scattered all over the picture. I guess they’re cows. The sky is blue, but there are some clouds on the left. In my opinion this picture was taken in the Netherlands because this country is famous for green lands and mills.

In the picture I can see people racing down a road. The woman in the foreground has got long brown hair banded into a ponytail. She’s wearing a grey and navy-blue T-shirt, navy-blue shorts and grey training shoes. There are some other people running behind her; about a dozen, I think. In the foreground there is a forest. The sky is blue and clear. I’m pretty confident that the woman is going win because she’s smiling. Maybe she’s reaching the finishing line and she knows that she’s going to win the race.
